Has anyone built an acoustic guitar specifically for being "Nashville Strung"?
My question is did you make any changes to the top bracing to compensate
for the different gauge of strings?

I'm only going to guess here, but I'm assuming it means strung with mediums? I have, and I made no bracing adjustments. The guitar sounded fantastic. Here is a link to it,its a redwood topped E2, which is basically the OLF SJ.

AKA "high strung"? I used the smaller strings from a 12 string set on my 6 string baby Taylor. Sounds like a mandolin. Low E, A, D, & G are strung an opctave higher, and B, & high E are standard. I really like the sound. I need to try it on a full sized guitar.

High strung is often used in a Nashville setting for recording, to add "sparkle". It's nice too if you're playing with another guitarist, and one is high strung.

Am I on track?

Ok, thought this was more common. Nashville High tuning, 1 and 2 are
tuned regular, 3 - 6 are tuned high. Strings .011, .015, .009, .011, .015, .
020. It is used by a number of country players. Sort of gives the sound of a
12-string. I think the first time I heard it is when Keith Richards used it on
"Wild Horses" way back.

Take a look at the back of a daddario 12 string pack - it will give you the tension for the octave strings at standard pitch, and you can adjust your top thickness and bracing accordingly if required.

You can set up any guitar that way, but it will likely need nut adjustment, truss dod tweeking, etc.

I recommend everyone try this for a set of strings. I keep my Taylor baby strung this way at all times.
